Criteria for Earning Honor Cord

French Honor Society

• Cumulative weighted  average of 90 or higher
• Cumulative weighted average of 90 or higher in French
• Complete French III or higher
• Completed minimum of 20 service hours per year while member of society
• National French Honor Society dues paid
• No ISS/OSS assigned while member of society

German Honor Society

• Cumulative weighted average of 90 or higher
• Cumulative weighted average of 90 or higher in German
• Complete German III or higher
• Completed minimum of 20 service hours per year while member of society
• National German Honor Society dues paid
• No ISS/OSS assigned while member of society

International Thespian Society

• Cumulative weighted average of 85 or higher
• Cumulative weighted average of 90 or higher in drama courses
• Obtain a minimum of ten points; one thespian point represents ten hours of excellent work 
• Earn points in a minimum of two productions and in two different production areas.  
• No ISS/OSS assigned while member of society

Military Honors Cord

• Cumulative 85 average in JROTC
• Cumulative weighted average of 80
• Complete four years of JROTC
• Earn rank of E5 or higher
• No ISS/OSS assigned while in JROTC 

Mu Alpha Theta

• Minimum cumulative weighted average of 90 across all math courses
• Minimum cumulative weighted average of 90 
• Complete Algebra I, Geometry, Advanced Algebra, AP Pre-Calculus/Enhanced
• Earn a minimum of one additional credit in AP/IB math or dual enrollment during their junior or senior year
• Minimum of 20 service hours per year while member of society
• National society dues paid
• No ISS/OSS assigned while member of society

National Art Honor Society

• Cumulative weighted average of 85 or higher
• Cumulative weighted average of 90 or higher in art
• Completed art pathway with 3 credits
• Completed minimum of 20 service hours per year while member of society

National Beta Club

• Cumulative weighted average of 90 or higher
• Completed minimum of 20 service hours per year while member of society
• Active member for minimum of 2 years
• No ISS/OSS assigned while member of Beta
• National Beta dues paid

National English Honor Society

• Minimum cumulative weighted average of 90 across all English courses
• Minimum cumulative weighted average of 90 
• Earn a minimum of two AP/IB credits in English or dual enrollment during their junior or senior year
• Completed minimum of 20 service hours per year while member of society
• No ISS/OSS assigned while member of society
• National society dues paid

National Honor Society

• Cumulative weighted average of 90 or higher

National Social Studies Honor Society RhoKappa

• Minimum cumulative weighted average of 90 
• Minimum cumulative weighted average of 90 in all social studies courses
• Completed required social studies core with at least one AP/IB social studies 
• Completed minimum of 20 service hours per year while member of society
• No ISS/OSS assigned while member of Rho Kappa

National Speech and Debate Association Honor Society

• Be on the debate team for a minimum of 2 years
• Earn a total of 25 points in high school
• 6 points- win a round of policy debate
• 5 points- give a speech to more than 25 people
• 5 points- act in a high school production
• Member of National Speech & Debate Association
• No ISS/OSS assigned while member of society

National Technical Honor Society

• Minimum weighted average of 85 or higher
• Minimum weighted average of 90 in CTAE courses 
• CTAE Pathway completer or currently enrolled in 3rd year
• Active member of CTAE pathway's CTSO
• No ISS/OSS assigned while member of NTHS
• Member of National Technical Honor Society

Science National Honor Society

• Minimum cumulative weighted average of 90 across all science courses
• Minimum cumulative weighted average of 90 
• Complete Biology, Chemistry and Physics science pathway
• Earn a minimum of one additional credit in AP/IB science or dual enrollment during their junior or senior year
• Completed minimum of 20 service hours per year while member of society
• Participate in one or more chapter projects per year 
• No ISS/OSS assigned while member of society
• National society dues paid

Spanish National Honor 

• Cumulative weighted average of 90 or higher
• Cumulative weighted average of 90 or higher in Spanish
• Complete Spanish III or higher
• Completed minimum of 20 service hours per year while member of society
• National Spanish Honor Society dues paid
• No ISS/OSS assigned while member of society

Tri-M Music Honor Society

• Cumulative weighted average of 85 or higher
• Cumulative weighted average of 90 or higher in music (band, chorus)
• Completed music pathway with 3 credits
• Completed minimum of 20 service hours per year while member of society
• No ISS/OSS assigned while member of society

International Baccalaureate 

• Meets IB Diploma-eligibility criteria
• Completion and submission of internal assessments
• Completion and submission of extended essay
• Completion and submission of theory of knowledge essay and exhibition
• Completion and verification of CAS project
• Meets minimum required score on any external assessments

AP Capstone

• Score 3 or higher on AP Seminar
• Score 3 or higher on AP Research
• Earn 3 or higher on 4 additional AP exams
